COACHING + COURSE FAQ
What are somatic practices?
The practices that connect you more deeply to your body as an indicator of what matters to you.
What are sexual practices?
The conscious practices that help you grow your pleasure capacity, understand your body’s desires, and unwire old scripts that no longer serve you.
What are spiritual practices?
The intentional ways we ask something bigger than us to collaborate.
How is coaching different than therapy?
Coaching is “front-body” focused, while therapy is “back-body” focused. That means that coaching orients to the future you long for, the goals you have to get there, and the healing that is necessary along the way. Therapy focuses on mental health and past experiences that may be impacting your present life.
Will this support me if I’m a trauma survivor?
Awe helps us access resiliency through a deepened relationship to ourselves and the broader world. My courses in awe can help us to meet our trauma from a more nourished and grounded place. My coaching helps heal trauma stored in the body.
Will this help me have an orgasm?
My Academy of Awe course includes one session that focuses almost exclusively on finding new pathways to orgasm, which is distinct from climax. In this course, orgasm refers to an elevated experience of sensation in the body that has peaks and valleys– the pleasure practice in session four aims to support you in finding that full spectrum. This is also something we can focus on in our coaching work together.
Will this help me reignite passion in my relationship?
My private and group couples coaching program are called “New Relationship Energy” because they help people in existing relationships find new fire together. My Academy of Awe course focuses primarily on solo practices, but has some applications for partnered practices. Plus building a deeper connection to your body can help you connect more wholeheartedly to your partner(s) in your sex life, your conversations and everywhere in between– so yes!
Will I have higher libido by the end of this course or coaching?
The practices in my courses and coaching will help you research where sensation is currently most alive in your body, and where it may be numb or less active. By consciously placing your attention on points of high sensation, we draw blood and energy there. (Where we place our attention grows, so yes!)
Can I take this course or coach with you if I don’t consider myself spiritual?
Yes. The only “spiritual prerequisite” is a belief in the unknown. This is Mystery school, yall.
I have a lot of fear and shame around my embodiment - will this help?
My work honors all the places that fear and shame come from related to our bodies. Rather than hiding from those places, we look at what motivates them, what they are protecting, and how we want to practice forward.
Can this help me stop dissociating?
My work is peppered with nervous system techniques that help stimulate your vagus nerve to support regulation and avoid getting stuck on freeze.
Are your courses and coaching accessible for all genders?
Yes- I think the gender binary is a pink and blue trash fire that should go extinct with Republicans, so I make an honest effort to reflect that in my course materials. I refer to ‘Vulva-owners’ and ‘Penis-Owners’ as I describe the anatomy of orgasm for different genitalia. In my one-on-one and couples coaching work, we get more specific about the names that each individual likes to refer to their body parts with. I wish I could do this with each of you.
